I just want to say that I like this book.It seems impossible that a book could be for sale for so long without having a review. So here it is. In a nutshell, the book is about three dreamers who, via accident, turn a simple machine into something else. The result is a near-limitless source of energy. The three inventors and their secretary/housemaid/friend then go on to do some good with the machine. However the group is frightened of the possibilities of its missus. It is actually already a perfectly functional weapon.
Throughout their adventures to try to produce some good from their creation,but also run across mobsters, some bad men from the government, and various corporate interests whose greed is paramount. Through their creativity, the original inventors manage to escape. The designs for their Machine get out into the world, and the people who control the world Hate the Machine. It is incredibly destructive and is capable of completely changing the political/economic/military power of the world.
The original group faces difficulty at every turn.
The story is about the struggle of a revolutionary idea. It is also a long book. I think it would have been better broken up into three short books, but that's just my opinion. It might even have made a nice TV series of a dozen episodes or so. I like the story.
Buy it or not as you see fit, but at least read the entire sample first.
